"Above all else, guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil." - Proverbs 4:23-27
Many people resort to drugs , smoking and drinking to escape the calamity of life .
I , for one , find my escape in fantasy - in reading , writing , and watching another life unfold .
One that is a world apart from mine .
And of course , a tub of Ben & Jerry's in hand .
Several things I've learnt in life , these short and hectic 18 years .
(1) In a second , everything can change - for better , for worse .
(2) The people who can hurt you the most aren't the murderers , the serial killers of this world .
Its the people you love the most .
(3) Never break a promise you made to God . God wanted you to make that promise for a reason - the consequences are dire if you disregard it .
(4) The human mind is one of the most complex organs in a human - but not as complex as the human heart .
(5) Procrastination is the key to failure .
There are so many disappointments that come along with the joyful moments .
I find it a package deal - you can't have one without the other .
And I find that the human mind - this human mind (or heart) at least , never learns .
Especially from mistakes that impacted us the most .
I know most of you are probably scoffing at my current post , some of you , not getting it at all .
But it's alright .
I just feel the need to vent out my frustrations with various issues without wholly allowing a passerby to understand .
I am so blessed - yet so cursed .
xxx
will talk to you guys when im in a lighter mood :)
