New years eve! ♥

5!   4!  3!  2!  1!  & everybody goes -

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2012's a mere 10 hours away, & here I am dunking famous amos cookies in milk reflecting on what happened this year.
What made this year so different from all the other years, I wonder?

I made valuable new friends - okay maybe that was 2010 but still got closer to them ♥

dreams gained, dreams lost.

awesome collegemates that really left footprints in my heart.

love lost, love gained. Met the boyfriend at the beginning of 2011, and I think that was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. I've experienced so much on this journey with him - parents approval, dates, family approval/experiences etc etc. :D

went to a lousy prom with the best boyfriend ever!

shopped #likeaboss this year, went to bangkok for holiday! I really, REALLY, spent a lot this year.

worked at seminars ushering which led to learning about the foreign exchange system, worked for a trading company & got involved. I never knew there was so much to currency and stocks etc etc, and really got into it.

Modelled for REDKEN, twice, one at a hair show & one at their annual dinner. :)

Ipoh, lost world of tambun.

went for my first romantic road trip with the boy for his B'day, & threw my very first 21st birthday party for the boy & more road trips throughout the year!

Was 2011 better than 2010, you ask? About the same, with its disappointments, and with its really joyful moments.

Now all we can do is work harder next year, cross our fingers, & pray for the best.

Happy New Year!

REDKEN malaysia's annual gala dinner 2011

& so, I found myself "modelling" again for REDKEN this event, as they actually offered me moolah instead of a bunch of products this time. My poor hair deserves some rest you know! :)

Yen & I with our personal hairstylists for the night - I got tony again! :) :)

Tony & I with the finished do' - not as cool as the previous, less damaging to the hair, and makeup was done by yours truly so its horribly done and barely visible haha. I remember how Wendy from Amber
Chia academy when I was helping her out with a shoot told me that models have to learn to apply their own makeup in rushed circumstances or low budget events. I shrugged it off thinking nahhh models are always pampered & now I have to eat my own words LOL.

More personal shots when the stupid rotating thingy gets fixed! I think its a bug in my computer, nehh.
Merry Christmas everyone! :) I'll also try to post up about hair care stuff & misconceptions I've learned throughout this "modelling journey" & post more on this event! :)

fixing my hair on stage

all the models except xin ni

after prepping, before fixing - NEST! :O

& some self absorbed shots for the day!

all smiles after my messed up catwalk.

ITHINKRIGHT, I think I'm only going to those RM12 quickcuts from now on. God knows most of the professional stylists in KL will laugh at me if I visit their salons. Walking in a shoe one size too big, with no rehearsal - DISASTER.

Oh well, I had fun though! :D
Everybody had a hairdo from REDKENS new looks, and mine was TEXTURE EXPLOSION.
Meticulously twisted baby ringlets all over gave me poofy hair - I was the DEFINITION of "ITS SO FLUFFY I CAN DIE" from despicable me.

It was an interesting experience though, "catwalking".
Brought home smiles, experience, nicely prepped and treated roots (they recoloured my fiery/purple red to a nice mahogany brown) and OH OF COURSE. REDKEN products.

Loreal - REDKEN event (WIP)

8 a.m., arrival at L'oreal academy Bangsar

*small eyed, groggy & tired, but hair all prepped from the day before, stylists covered my striking red hair with red-brown mahogany, touched up my roots and sliced off my fringe. Scarily on the "lala" side, but fringes grow fast :D

Crazy amount of tiny curls that took FOREVER.
*Richard & Tony fluffy-fying my hair, reminding me of a pretty birds nest :D

A sneak preview of Yen's hair

Xin Ni hiding behing my nest :D

After the awkward catwalk, the display of skill! :P

Tony making a hairstyle out of my nest on stage, teaching the participants.

*my turn is done! :)

 playing with cool hair extensions

the main "guru" of the seminar - Richard Kavanaugh from REDKEN, all the way from NZ
